Moon-Circuit Hacker is Pauper’s Next Ninja of the Deep Hours!

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen some playable Ninjas for Pauper Faeries strategies, and even if Moonblade Shinobi is a solid option for the Pauper Cube, it never really made the cut for actual Constructed Pauper.

Moon-Circuit Hacker is similar to Ninja of the Deep Hours – one of the pillars of Pauper – although it’s cheaper to sneak into combat but weaker in toughness. It won’t be as good a Ninja once in play, since it’ll have to loot after the first hit, but it’s a much cheaper threat to hard-cast, which was definitely the problem with Ninja of the Deep Hours before.

Dimir Faeries and Izzet Skred can also welcome Moon-Circuit Hacker both as fifth and sixth copy or over some copies of Ninja of the Deep Hours, as too many copies can certainly be clunky in some games against decks with loads of removal.

The best home for Moon-Circuit Hacker will definitely be Mono-Blue Faeries, which already plays Faerie Miscreant as additional way to get your creatures through. I was never a fan of Delver of Secrets in a deck with no Brainstorms and only 22 spells, so I’m pretty happy to replace it with this new Ninja that grants card advantage and then card filtering in a deck that doesn’t have the famous Brainstorm + fetchland combo to get rid of the extra lands.
