In all my games playing this deck, one card seems to rule your game plan: Heatran-GX. While this deck has countless tools to take your Prizes (Cramorant V can snipe the Bench, Reshizard can put on early pressure and Blacephalon can take huge one-shots) it all revolves around your use of Heatran-GX and how you take advantage of Hot Burn GX.
Another important thing to consider with this deck is simply how you will take your Prize cards. At the start of every turn, stop and ask yourself, “How can I best win the game?” All this is to say – although the matchup guide below will help you in most situations – it is very possible that the best play is using a different attack then you would first guess.
