Melony or Moltres? — A Rapid Strike Urshifu VMAX Update

Melony or Moltres? — A Rapid Strike Urshifu VMAX Update

Hello again readers, I’m back with today with yet another deck to talk about today. It occurred to me while looking back through old articles that there wasn’t anything that even resembled the current takes on Rapid Strike Urshifu VMAX, with the last time it was covered at Fusion Strike’s release, where I paired it with Inteleon VMAX, something that didn’t work out nearly as well as I would have hoped. Looking at recent tournament results, it seems that the Melony version of the deck has managed to fall out of favor again in favor of Galarian Moltres V. While I personally don’t think that Galarian Moltres V does much of anything unless the Mew player is unlucky, there’s no denying that it has been one of the more popular decks.

Today, I have what is my own list for a Melony version of the deck, built through a ton of testing earlier on into the format. I also have a Galarian Moltres V list that I’ve had sitting in my account for a while that I updated to hopefully stand a chance against the current Mew-focused metagame. I’m sure the Galarian Moltres list was initially taken from someone else, and it could also be identical to other lists after the changes I made, but to the best of my knowledge it’s basically one of my own lists at this point. With that said, let’s get into the decks I have today!
