Leisurely-Footed — Suicune Beats Mew [In: Path, Out: Ludicolo]

Hey everyone! How’s it going? Today, I’m giving you my take on one of the best decks in the current format: Suicune.

I started by trying the various versions of Suicune that focused on one-shotting with Ludicolo and Inteleon. The deck was decent but never quite what I was looking for. Here’s the list I ended up with for that deck:

##Pokémon - 19
4 Suicune V EVS 31
4 Sobble CRE 41
4 Drizzile SSH 56
2 Inteleon CRE 43
1 Inteleon SSH 58
2 Lotad EVS 32
2 Ludicolo EVS 34
##Trainer Cards - 33
4 Professor’s Research SSH 178
3 Melony CRE 146
2 Marnie SSH 169
2 Boss’s Orders RCL 154
4 Quick Ball SSH 179
4 Level Ball NXD 89
4 Evolution Incense SSH 163
3 Capacious Bucket RCL 156
2 Scoop Up Net RCL 165
2 Rare Candy SSH 180
2 Cape of Toughness DAA 160
1 Echoing Horn CRE 136
##Energy - 8
4 Water Energy 3
4 Capture Energy RCL 171

This deck is good but has slightly too much going on. I think it has a place in the metagame (especially with Echoing Horn, insane against VMAX decks), but a slightly unfavorable Mew VMAX matchup led me to scrap it in favor of its lean, mean, KOing machine sibling: Suicune Path:
