News Round Up: Week of November 8

It was a big week for digital Magic. Let’s take a look at what happened.

First on the MTG Arena side of things, the second Zendikar Rising League Weekend took place. When the dust settled, Rei Sato and Paulo Vitor Damo da Rosa led the way in the Magic Pro League while Luis Scott-Vargas was in sole possession of first place in the Rivals League. The big decks of the weekend were Gruul Adventures and Mono-Green Food.

The MTG Arena November State of the Game also hit the web this week. While the big news was the release of Kaladesh Remastered, there was also an update on the mobile client. The launch of Arena mobile has been pushed to early 2021 to ensure a smooth roll out.

Finally on Magic Online, this week sees the culmination of the Magic Online Championship Series. Two dozen players are testing their mettle in Vintage Cube, Pioneer, and Modern for their share of the $250,000 prize pool.
