A few days ago, Wizards announced the expansion of their Universes Beyond initiative that will see beloved franchises such as Lord of the Rings, Street Fighter and Fortnite join the card pool. This is a promising start for fans of crossovers like this, but the question everyone is asking is this: does it go too far?

The answer, rather obviously, no. Of course not. In fact, Wizards would be well-advised to chase down other valuable IPs to collaborate with, and expand the Universes Beyond to include an even wider array of exciting brands. Today, we’ll be looking at some of the potential directions Universes Beyond could take in future, complete with the sort of cards such partnerships could involve!
