Time Spiral Remastered Exclusive Preview Cards!

Time Spiral Remastered is coming soon, and it’s one of the sets I’ve been the most excited for ever. There are three main reasons.

Header - 1. Old Frame Card Printings

Getting to see Ponder and other hits in the old-frame treatment is just incredible.

I’m beyond hyped for these, and I’ll be going out of my way to acquire playsets of all the staples. I also have to give WotC credit for not stashing these in a Secret Lair and just putting them into a set.

Header - 2. Time Spiral Block Was Fun

Time Spiral block is not for the faint of heart but it’s super fun if you can get past the complexity. I enjoyed the gameplay in 2007, and I will enjoy it when this comes out.

Have you seen these things?

That brings us to our previews today. We have three, courtesy of Wizards of the Coast, and they’re a funny bunch. Let’s take a look at the goods:

Image - Lava Spike

Now this looks sweet. Kamigawa block barely missed the old frame cutoff, so giving burn aficionados a new pretty toy is great. I can’t say that I expect to cast a Lava Spike in the near future, but I won’t shame anyone who does (I hear that’s not allowed anymore).

Image - Simian Spirit Guide

I have to admit, it’s pretty funny getting new art on Simian Spirit Guide right after it got banned in Modern, but so it goes. This card is still a force in Legacy and can continue its monkey business there.

Image - Rough // Tumble

Rough // Tumble is more of a niche card, but Legacy Delver decks run it from time to time and it’s a house in Draft. I was always happy to open these, and the fact that it sees Constructed play is just gravy.

These are a sweet slate of previews, and I cannot wait to get my hands on Time Spiral Remastered!
