Standard 2022 Dimir Rogues – Deck Highlight

Standard 2022 Dimir Rogues by Chris Rodgers

Today’s deck, Standard 2022 Dimir Rogues, was played by Chris Rodgers in one of the Insight Esports 2022 Invitational Qualifiers. This is a shot at Rogues for Standard 2022, after it loses some big pieces from Throne of Eldraine rotating out. The deck has a lot going for it, between good counters, cheap creature and removal, though it’s missing a lot of things that we’re used to in Standard Rogues.

If you look at Untapped.gg’s Standard decks, you can see Rogues has fallen out of favor even in current Standard, but it was at one point the best deck in the format.

Drown in the LochThieves' Guild EnforcerInto the Story

There’s no Drown in the Loch, no Thieves’ Guild Enforcer, no Lurrus and importantly no Into the Story. Into the Story has been one of the keys to the deck’s card advantage and will be sorely missed.

Rogue ClassBehold the Multiverse

That being said, the deck has Rogue Class and Behold the Multiverse, so card advantage isn’t at a zero. The deck’s also still able to keep some cheap interaction and creatures at the very least. More importantly, remember that your opponents will have decks that are a bit weaker than we’re used to as well, so keep that in mind if you pick up this list or brew your own deck for Standard 2022.

If you’re a Rogues diehard and are looking for a starting point for Standard 2022, this could be a good place to start.
