Punch Above Your Weight Class with BG Fight Rigging in Explorer

I’ve noticed this Golgari Fight Rigging deck on the Arena ladder in the Explorer format, and while I wouldn’t rate it as a Tier 1 deck, it sure is very explosive and capable of some busted draws. 

The idea is to play Llanowar Elves or Gilded Goose on turn one and follow that up with Rotting Regisaur or Shakedown Heavy on turn two. That sets you up nicely for a Fight Rigging on turn three for a free spell and it should be smooth sailing from here. 

Be prepared to mulligan aggressively in search of these cards because you will hardly be able to keep up with your opponent if you’re trying to hardcast Verdurous Gearhulk on turn four or Titan of Industry on turn six. 

This list is using Obosh, the Preypiercer as an extra card, which could be good in a heavy Rakdos Midrange metagame. There are other options to explore by dropping Obosh though, perhaps adding a touch of red for Valki, God of Lies, which you can play as a Tibalt with Rigging.

If you feel like maximizing the busted draws, you can also add Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger and hope to get it into play on turn three!
