Making the Most of Overcharged Amalgam in Standard Dimir Tempo

Standard Dimir Tempo by Elliphas

Today’s deck is Dimir Tempo deck from the Crokeyz Crimson Vow Tournament, played by Elliphas to a 5-1 record in the event, which is pretty great.

Jadar, Ghoulcaller of NephaliaShambling GhastEyetwitchOvercharged Amalgam

This deck looks pretty interesting to me. I like that it has a lot of great cards in various matchups. The deck has good removal and a sweeper for the weenie/aggro decks. It also has a lot of cheap board pressure and presence. Exploit is a cool mechanic with cards like Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia, Shambling Ghast and Eyetwitch. Overcharged Amalgam is a card that looked good to me, and I definitely had on my agenda to try it.

Hullbreaker Horror

It’s no surprise if you keep up with my content, but I think that Hullbreaker Horror is easily the best card from Crimson Vow, and this deck includes three copies. There’s also a fair number of instants, which can help to maximize the value of the Horror. In addition, because this is a black deck, you have cheap targeted removal which can be very helpful against opposing copies of Hullbreaker Horror. This deck definitely stands out to me, and if you’re also looking for new things to try, it might be worth giving it a shot.
