Go Over the Top with the New Legacy Jeskai Control

Legacy Jeskai Control by Killersuv

UW and Jeskai Control decks have always been a pillar of Legacy. Snapcaster Mage, Entreat the Angels and Jace, the Mind Sculptor used to be the ways these decks won. In 2022, things are different though. However, these cards aren’t good enough anymore to grind the Expressive Iteration tempo decks. You need something unfair, something that goes over the top of them – like Hullbreacher or Narset, Parter of Veils with Day’s Undoing.

I think decks that pack lots of basics with four Swords to Plowshares and three Prismatic Ending are the best at beating UR Delver, and Killersuv definitely succeeded by going 10-0 in Sunday’s Legacy Challenge with a deck very similar to the one he won a MTGO PTQ with few months ago.

The Wandering Emperor has officially replaced Jace, the Mind Sculptor in the format where Pyroblast sees main deck play and you need to have plenty of ways to deal with Murktide Regent.

The red splash is needed because it gives you incredible tools in the sideboard, from Red Elemental Blast to Meltdown and of course Blood Moon!

Overall, it’s nice to see control decks back in Legacy and this take definitely has a lot going for it.
