Historic is a big format that is closer to Modern than to Standard in terms of how many viable decks there are.

The most important piece of advice I can give you is pick a deck early and stick to it. Learn it inside out and master sideboard plans against the most popular decks. This strategy is almost always better in a wide open format with a lot of viable decks than jumping from one deck to another.

I’ll be covering some of the best deck choices in the days leading up to the event. If you don’t know much about the format, I suggest you pick one of the linear, proactive decks like Izzet Phoenix, Azorius Auras or Golgari Food. For expert pilots with a lot of Historic experience, I would recommend trying to master Azorius Control.
