Legacy Enchantress by SPATULAOFTHEAGES
Enchantress has been a fringe deck in Legacy for a very long time now, and SpatulaOfTheAges is an MTGO account I often notice to be an aficionado of this archetype. Last weekend, they went all the way up to the finals of the Legacy Challenge with their pet deck, GW Enchantress!
If you’re new to the archetype and want to know more about it, check out my Enchantress video. It’s two years old now, but the core of the deck is still the same: play Argothian Enchantress or Enchantress’s Presence, cantrip a lot with your Utopia Sprawls and Wild Growths while holding the opponent down with Elephant Grass and finally winning with either Destiny Spinner or Emrakul, the Aeons Torn.
With the last few sets, there’s two new cards in the list that are worth highlighting.
The other is Paladin Class, the new Class from Adventures in the Forgotten Realms, which helps resolve your spells through countermagic as it’ll make it harder for the opponent to keep the pressure up while leaving up more and more mana to counter your spells. The second and third level of this Class are a bit useless in this deck, although as this deck manages to assemble a very large chunk of mana, I can see being able to attack with Sythis, Harvest’s Hand in the lategame.
