CFB Box Breaks – Top 10 Cards So Far

CFB Box Breaks have been happening for about two months now and its been a blast to see some of the incredible cards pulled on stream. If you missed any, catch up on YouTube.

There’s a huge thrill to watching the streams and seeing something rare or some cool alternate art opened – even if you’re not getting the card, the community around the CFB Box Breaks stream gets to share in the fun.

Here are the top ten cards we’ve opened so far across Magic, Flesh and Blood and Pokémon. We’re excited to open even more awesome collectibles!

Borderless Jace, the Mind Sculptor – Double Masters.

Jace, the Mind Sculptor (Toppers)

This is absolutely iconic. The most recognisable face in Magic: the Gathering (other than LSV, of course) and in his most powerful form. The extended art on this foil borderless box topper version is stunning too.

Zodiac Dragon – Portal: Three Kingdoms

Zodiac Dragon

Rare to the point of absurdity, you may not know this card too well if you don’t collect Magic, but if you do, it’s one to chase. It’s very hard to come by a copy and from a set that didn’t get released worldwide, so few English-language copies exist.

Fyendal’s Spring Tunic – Welcome to Rathe

Fyendal's Spring Tunic

This is one of the staples of Flesh and Blood, comparable to Black Lotus in the early days of Magic. Strong, versatile and with fantastic art, this is a must for collectors and players alike.

Mana Vault – Revised

Mana Vault

One of the most powerful ramp cards in Magic and a must for Commander players, the Revised printing is from way back in 1994, making this one not only a great card for your EDH deck, but a piece of Magic history.

Adun Oakenshield – Legends

Adun Oakenshield

It might be a little underpowered by today’s standard, but for long-time Magic players this guy was a serious hit in Legends packs. Powerful ability and cool design in Jund colors and still a pretty sweet General in Commander.

Phyrexian Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider – Kaldheim

Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider (Phyrexian)

This has to be one of the coolest printings WotC have done. Like Elesh Norn before him, Vorinclex gets the full Phyrexian text treatment and look, you may not know what he does, but he looks great doing it.

Yokhitaka Amano Liliana, Dreadhorde General

Liliana, Dreadhorde General (JP Alternate Art)

An iconic planeswalker reimagined by one of the greatest artists in gaming history, Yoshitaka Amano, who is responsible for the design of classic Final Fantasy characters. The highlight of the Japanese War of the Spark cards and just stunning.

Charizard V-Max Shiny – Shining Fates

Charizard VMAX (SV107/SV122)

Who doesn’t love a big angry monster like Charizard? And this is one of the best versions of the Pokémon who’s been around since the beginning.

Shiyana, Diamond Gemini – Crucible of War

Shiyana, Diamond Gemini

One of Flesh and Blood’s most sought-after heroes, Shiyana is a really unique design that allows for a lot of flexibility. An awesome and flavorful card, typical of Flesh and Blood.

Gaea’s Cradle – Urza’s Saga

Gaea's Cradle

It’s one of the most powerful and popular cards in Magic and for good reason. An EDH staple, a Legacy all-star and a highly sought-after card for collectors, Cradle is a throwback to days when balance was a card, not a design philosophy.

So there you have it, a taste of what you can get in CFB Box Breaks, and this is just a few of the awesome cards we’ve seen on stream. There’s been dual lands, borderless promos, cold foils and even some crazy sports cards! Check out the full roster of breaks now.
