With most of the set spoiled so far, ONE promises to have one of the highest impacts to Modern we’ve seen in a while from a Standard set. I’m very much looking forward to diving deep into the set and exploring the plethora of possibilities. As for today however, I’d like to go over two of the spoiled planeswalkers that have some interesting Modern implications.
If I’m reading this right, I think Nahiri lines up pretty poorly against damage-based removal. A delirious Unholy Heat can both kill Nahiri and “counter” a 0 activation, since the targeting requirement will no longer be met.
