More than any format I can remember, Innistrad: Midnight Hunt is chock full of underperformers and overperformers that don’t quite line up with people’s intuition of how good or bad a card should be in a Limited format. I streamed a ton of my games on the way to #1 mythic this week and without a doubt, the two most common questions in my chat have been that “wait, that card is good?!” and “wait, that card is bad?!”
Today, I want to walk through some of the traps and overperformers of the format, not just to highlight them so you can adjust where you pick them, but to attempt to explain their performance to give you a deeper understanding of what makes this format tick.
