Pauper Squirrel Storm – Deck Guide

Every time a storm card gets printed at common, Pauper players go crazy, finding a way to break the format and storm off as early as turn two. The format has a funny ban list; you’re allowed to play with Dark Ritual, Lotus Petal and Rite of Flame, but there’s not much you can do with it since almost every storm card is banned (Temporal Fissure, Grapeshot, Empty the Warrens). However, Squirrel Storm is the latest deck to use storm that isn’t banned… yet.

Chatterstorm is the newest addition to Pauper with Modern Horizons 2 and it’s being played in combination with First Day of Class, which lets you attack with an army of hasty Squirrels as early as turn two.

The goal of the deck is to get huge chunk of mana thanks to your dual lands and your rituals and finally play First Day of Class followed by Chatterstorm with a storm count of 10 or more to attack for 20 (or more) damage.

If you want to see the deck in action, I played it last week for a Pauper video, although in the last few days I’ve brainstormed more with my local friends (Dannyground and Sambuco on MTGO) and finalized this list, which is few cards off from the original.
