Is This MTG Deck Modern’s New Krark-Clan Ironworks Combo?

Over the last several months, I’ve been working on a convoluted artifact combo deck revolving around Semblance Anvil. It’s been a long and grueling process, but over these months, I’ve playtested several variants, all of them involving the same core package that I think is overflowing with potential.

Usually when writing these guides, I like to spend a bit more time introducing the list, but I think for this it’s best to take a look at it a bit earlier so you can have an easier time visualizing all of the moving pieces.

Here’s the deck list. At the time of writing, I’m 15-5 with this 75 and have found the deck to be very impressive. Against linear decks like Prowess, Hammer Time and Titan, the die roll matters more than anything. These matchups feel like classic “two ships passing each other in the night” matchups where both players simply try to win as quickly as possible while mostly ignoring their opponent. I’ve liked the deck’s matchup versus Murktide, Grixis Shadow, Underworld Breach decks, control and cascade strategies. Decks like Tron, Scam and Burn however, which play problematic permanents like Karn, the Great Creator, Dauthi Voidwalker and Eidolon of the Great Revel, are the deck’s worst matchups in my opinion.
