Forgotten Realms Standard Metagame Analysis

Adding an eighth set to Standard usually doesn’t change the format in an earth-shattering way, and Adventures in the Forgotten Realms is no different. Nevertheless, it has added several important cards. To understand what the Forgotten Realms Standard metagame looks like and to get ready for the upcoming Arena Open and Arena Qualifier Weekend, I analyzed all Best-of-Three Standard deck lists that were played on MTG Melee from Friday, July 9 up to and including Sunday, July 25. This encompasses the first three weekends of play with the new set. In total, my data set contained 1570 decks and 3592 matches.
