Deck Guide: Historic Ultimatum Rites

The deck I’m about to talk about is a wild one, and I can’t stop playing it. Andrew Baeckstrom (BK) brewed it up on Constructed Resources, and it’s really emblematic of how busted Historic is after the release of the Mystical Archive. It turns out that Brainstorm and Faithless Looting are absurd – who would’ve thought?

If you’re interested in reliably casting Emergent Ultimatum on turn four, look no further. This deck does it more than any other deck in the format, and thanks to the London Mulligan, it’s frighteningly consistent. That’s not to say disruption isn’t great against this deck, but it’s not a deck for cowards – let’s take a look at Jeskai Ultimatum Rites.
