Reprints have been getting a lot of attention lately, as it seems like with the ramp up of the production of MTG product in recent years, we’ve seen reprints entering competitive formats on a regular basis. This article will go over what the correct approach is when evaluating a familiar card in a different set than it was originally printed in. Is Wizards of the Coast reprinting the right cards, and are they getting it right when determining how often to reprint a card? What’s considered a reprint? For example, should we consider a card that has the same effect as another card like Elvish Mystic and Llanowar Elves a reprint?
